Using the latest 6.0 StyleCAD on a 5.0 System SoftFashion is slowly phasing in the latest StyleCAD 6.0 beta software for testing purposes. Although the product is not yet complete, it is ready for evaluation and for solving issues found in StyleCAD 5.0. A user can easily use the latest 6.0 system on their 5.0 system by following these simple steps. Remember, the 6.0 system is no yet complete, so using it in a high-paced production environment is not yet recommended.
2. Create a folder (perhaps called 60_FILES) in the C:\Scad\ folder. 3. Copy Grading60.exe into the 60_FILES folder. 4. Create a shortcut for this executable to desktop for your convenience. 5. Double-click the shortcut to start the program. (The program will open but will crash soon because StyleCAD protect code is not entered yet.) 6. Run ScadProtect.exe and enter the 12 digit StyleCAD protect code. The user must run the latest ScadProtect.exe since the previous version only took care of 5.0 version. The latest version is available here: ScadProtect.exe 7. Enjoy the beta version of 6.0! NOTE: *Please do not save working 5.0 style files in version 6.0. 5.0 files will not open in version 5.0 once they are saved in the 6.0 format. Please use the Save As feature to help tell apart the 5.0 files from the 6.0 files. |
