For example, dealers may find the need to download entire folders of files from the server.  Using the HTTP method, dealers would have to download each file individually.  This can be very tedious and time consuming.  With the new FTP login method, dealers can login to the FTP server with their favorite FTP program (or even Internet Explorer), and automatically download entire folders.  This saves time and effort.

The FTP server's address is stylecad.com.  The port number is 1048.  The username and password are the same as for the HTTP folder, so no new password is required.  Dealers are pre-configured to use the server.

The simplest way to access the server with no additional software, is to enter the FTP address into Internet Explorer.  The software will login to the server, and show the contents in a similar fashion as any Windows Explorer folder on your computer.  Simply enter the following text to login to the server: ftp://stylecad.com:1048.  The login and password will be requested, and then the FTP server will appear.

For security reasons and to prevent accidental deletions, dealer accounts are limited to reading/downloading files, and may not upload, delete, or change any files on the FTP server.  Dealers may e-mail support@stylecad.com to request a file or folder be added/changed/deleted from the system.
