lessons demonstrate how to apply powerful StyleCAD tools in everyday
task. The videos are recorded in live speed for the most part,
except when there is a lull between actions.
Grading
Grading Lesson - An overview of various grading tools in StyleCAD. Also available in Spanish.
Point Grading - A demonstration of the basic point grading method using either the grading
panel or keyboard arrow keys.
Intermediate Grading - A demonstration of one of the most innovative and powerful grading tools:
Intermediate Grading. It allows grading in between grading points using blending methods.
It is possible even across multiple pieces.
Perimeter Grading - A demonstration of another powerful grading method based on
perimeter length increments. 2 matching sections such as armhole and sleeve
can be graded very easily. Floating notches that must be graded along curvatures
are handled by this tool.
Radial Grading - Grading method based on offseting parallel curves are useful for ladies
innerwear such as night gowns and brasieres. Grading difficult pieces such as
ruffles are made extremely easy.
AutoGrading, Slash and Spread - StyleCAD auto grading uses grading templates to grade new pieces. The template's grading data can be applied to similarly shaped pieces. The intuitive user interface gives
the user all the convenience and freedom to manually control how the template is
applied.

Digitizing
Lesson 1
- This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on digitizing a typical pattern with a
grain line, internal lines, drill holes, mirror line and
fabric line. Different point types such as grading point, curve point, notch point
and double notch point are demonstrated. The button sequence for each action is clearly presented
to the viewer.
Plot Manager
Lesson 1
- The plot manager is used by pattern makers to nest patterns to plot. It supports roll or sheet media types.
It provides the user with rich collection of tools for nesting, copying arrangement, automatic lay and more. This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on starting the plot manager from the PDS program, nesting, selecting media type and sending a plot job
to a running Output Manager.
Marker Making
Lesson 1

Style Manager
Lesson 1
- StyleManager is a utility program that allows management of photos, designer sketches,
spec sheets, production sheets, cost sheets with StyleCAD style and marker database.
It also provides access to style data and marker data to designers, production managers,
sales staff and anyone who needs access to CAD data. In a typical company, staff
members other than pattern makers, graders and marking experts need constant access to
CAD data such as marker yields, pattern data, plot history etc. By installing
StyleManager at a staff member's PC, he/she gains access to the CAD data over the network.
Many companies maintain spec sheets, production sheets and cost sheets in their own
Excel spreadsheet files. StyleManager supports the company's own file format. It
supports up to 20 unique spreadsheet formats allowing flexibility. StyleManager
can be configured to store photos and other information in the spec sheets, cost sheets, pattern charts
etc. for easy access to all staff members.
