PDS (Pattern Design)
Lesson 1 -
Adding
Dart to Armhole and Side - This lesson provides a step by step
instruction on how to add simple darts to a basic block and how to rotate
darts. In the process, several essential methods such as adding
lines, moving pieces around, zoom in/out, and rotating pieces are
demonstrated.
Lesson 2 - Adding Volume to Shoulder - This lesson provides a step
by step instruction on one of the possible approach in adding volume to
shoulder. In the process, several frequently used methods such
as how to cut pieces, how to add dart and rotate it, how to
quickly blend a curve and how to make a facing piece form an existing
piece are demonstrated.
Grading
Lesson 1
- This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on basic grading technique and size list manipulation.
Digitizing
Lesson 1
- This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on digitizing a typical pattern with a
grain line, internal lines, drill holes, mirror line and
fabric line. Different point types such as grading point, curve point, notch point
and double notch point are demonstrated. The button sequence for each action is clearly presented
to the viewer.
Marker Making
Lesson 1
- This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on creating a marker, basic pattern nesting technique, and much much more.
Plot Manager
Lesson 1
- The plot manager is used by pattern makers to nest patterns to plot. It supports roll or sheet media types.
It provides the user with rich collection of tools for nesting, copying arrangement, automatic lay and more. This lesson
provides a step by step instruction on starting the plot manager from the PDS program, nesting, selecting media type and sending a plot job
to a running Output Manager.
